I have more than 12 years of experience working and teaching with Caroline Myss, from the earliest days of her work with Archetypes and Sacred Contracts since 1996. I helped to write her major best seller Sacred Contracts (2001). I also collaborated with her in creating the deck of Archetype Cards used at CMED Sacred Contracts workshops since 2003 as well as her current online class. During the early years of her CMED Institute in the Chicago area, I compiled notes of all workshops and created workbooks to help students absorb and digest Caroline's teachings as they developed. I have remained in continual contact with Caroline as her teaching has evolved, so I have a unique perspective on her thinking about the archetypes. I can usually arrange to begin working with you within one week of verifying payment. The rate is $125 to $150 per hour depending on the nature of the work involved.
Coauthoring Consultation
Coauthoring or ghostwriting involves working with someone, usually a public figure, prominent teacher or thinker, who wants to write a book but doesn't have experience structuring a book proposal or complete manuscript in language that is not academic or fussy but is also accessible to a general readership. In that capacity I wrote two books with talk show host Larry King and coauthored the autobiography of Frank Zappa and the musical memoir of cabaret star Michael Feinstein. In a similar vein I worked with spiritual teacher Caroline Myss (pictured above) on her New York Times bestsellers Sacred Contracts and Why People Don’t Heal.
More recently, I completely revised and rewrote the manuscript of an important book on the treatment of Arthritis and another bestselling book on treating Back Pain by a leading sports medicine doctor at New York's Hospital for Special Surgery.
I have also written several books of my own about the varieties of American spiritual experience, based on interviews with a wide range of men and women from very different spiritual backgrounds and pursuits (Once A Catholic; Through the Labyrinth) as well as an up-to-the-minute popular guide to the world's spiritual traditions (Circles of Belief).
